The Institute for Social Development and Policy Research (Seoul National University) started as a Population Research Institute in the 1960s, and has been conducting research on various developments in Korean society. In recent years, it have been conducting the project 'Social Development and Quality of Society: International Comparison of Korea, East Asia, OECD Countries and Qualitative Transition Models of Korean Society'. The project is supported by the National Research Foundation and expected to reflect the current trend of internationalization and globalization in the research.
