Abstract

The「Survey on Planning Long-term Rural Development」was conducted by the Institute for Population and Development at Seoul National University (currently The Institute for Social Development and Policy Research) for the formation of a development index and local development strategies for each village necessary for the improvement of the lives of those residing in fishing, agrarian, and mountain villages. The survey was conducted with households and villages as separate targets and this data was collected from households. The questionnaire includes contents on family situation, agricultural conditions, senior living, residential environment, economic conditions, education and social activities, state of health, problems of residing neighborhood.
