The Korea Rural Economic Institute is a government-funded research institute established in 1978 to conduct comprehensive research on rural economy and rural society development and to support the establishment of agricultural policies. It conducts research on the subject of agricultural economy such as agricultural observation project, FTA implementation support project, quality of life policy, and management of agriculture-food policy performance, and the main output data is the food consumption behavior survey and the public awareness survey on agriculture and rural areas.
