Korean Legislation Research Institute, a government-funded research institute established in 1990, seeks to supporting national legislative policy making and improving the legal culture through systematically collecting, managing and disseminating legal information, and conducting professional survey and studies on legal legislation. It works on collecting and providing legal information from all over the world, translating major laws into English, and helping to understand Korean law accurately. Additionally it presents effective legislative alternatives on policy issues by conducting over 300 legislative research projects annually. The main research is a Survey of the Legal Consciousness of the Korean People.
