KBS Broadcast Research Institute

Since its establishment as a broadcasting institute in 1973, KBS Public Media Institute has been actively conducting research on broadcasting policy and broadcasting journalism to enhance public interest in broadcasting and leading broadcasting culture through industry-academia cooperation and collaboration with various experts. The Institute, which has 160,000 KBS National Panels, conducts periodic surveys of program preferences and public perceptions on various issues in order to organize and produce broadcasting and to use basic data for policies. Since 1981, it has produced the National Life Time Survey every five years, the one on the people's time utilization, working together with the Press Information Institute of Seoul National University.
