The Ewha Social Science Research Institute started as the Social Science Research Institute in 1996 and changed into the current one in 2015. It seeks to advancing individual academics in social science and deepen interdisciplinary researches. With the related researchers and professors in various social science being participated, it works providing basics on theory and methodology in social science and making educational programs. It also conducts research based on industry-academic cooperation on topics such as political development, public policy, information culture, welfare issues, and media and visual culture.
