Abstract
The survey was conducted to seek out proposals to improve the effectiveness of the management evaluation system which was implemented to improve the performance of local public enterprises. The survey questioned people in charge of management evaluation at local public enterprises in Gyeonggi-do. The survey data was used to study cultural and cognitive factors influencing the acceptance of evaluation data by the evaluated public enterprises.
The major survey topics included understanding of the purpose and procedure of management evaluation, need for management evaluation, fairness of management evaluation, confidence in evaluation index, clarity of evaluation index, validity of evaluation index, consistency of evaluation index, evaluation results as corporate performance improvement factor, acceptance of evaluation results, need for improving evaluation index and organizational culture.
