Abstract
Gallup Korea is conducting a monthly omnibus survey based on the same research design. An omnibus survey incorporates multiple topics commissioned by various institutions and corporations into one survey. Thus, an omnibus survey can collect data more efficiently in terms of cost and time required compared to ad-hoc survey dealing with single topics. The Gallup Korea omnibus survey collects around 1,500 samples for each survey conducted in a face to face interview method and covers various social and economic topics including marketing index, political index, public attitudes, economic situation awareness, and state of media utilization.
This data was collected in December 2007 and is composed of contents on stress and sleep. Contents on stress include subjective state of health, cause and level of stress, and methods of relieving stress, and contents on sleep include average hours of sleep, whether one is getting restful sleep, methods of getting over insomnia, experience of taking sleeping pills, optimal hours of sleep, and attitude towards dreams.
