Abstract

This survey was conducted to procure effective stress management measures by examining the state of job related stress and characteristics of corporate culture. The characteristics of corporate culture was gauged centering around variables related to trust and corporate atmosphere, and to gauge job related stress elements with high relevance to Korean culture were selectively utilized from the job stress index developed by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health in 2000. The questionnaire includes contents on cause of stress, symptoms of stress, job characteristics, relations with manager/coworker, social trust, job satisfaction, work content, work autonomy, work load, corporate atmosphere, self-esteem, organizational commitment, work environment, communication within the workplace, experience of utilizing welfare facility within workplace, safety within the workplace, drinking, and smoking.
