The Survey on Crime Victims in Korea is the first of its kind conducted in Korea among various crime victims. The goal of this survey is to understand the damages experienced by the victims and the psychological results, attitude towards victim support systems, and the need for support services. The questionnaire is composed of contents including emotional state following victimization, attitude towards offender, gravity of criminal victimization, needs of crime victims, psychological state after victimization over time, attitudes towards and experiences of resources for crime victims, victims’ level of satisfaction with the actions of judicial bodies and the need for reform.
