아시아 사회적 웰빙 조사 (Social Well-Being Survey in Asia) 0

This survey aims to measure the level of social well-being and dissect association structure and the mechanism of social well-being in Asian countries. The Center for Social Well-being Studies at Senshu University was founded in 2014 for the ‘Forming a social well-being research consortium in Asia’ project funded by MEXT-Supported Program for the Strategic Research Foundation at Private Universities (S1491003 2014-2018). The project aimed (1) to investigate the current state and mechanism of social well-being in contemporary East and Southeast Asia by conducting a cross-national questionnaire survey in this region and (2) to form an international research consortium consisting of universities and institutes in the region for academic exchange on social well-being and other related studies. The latter goal has been finally achieved by the formation of the International Consortium for Social Well-being Studies which is organized by universities and academic institutes in eight Asian societies: Indonesia (University of Indonesia) Japan (Senshu University and ROIS-DS) Korea (Seoul National University) the Philippines (Ateneo de Manila University) Taiwan (Academia Sinica) Thailand (Chulalongkorn University) Vietnam (Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences) and Mongolia (Independent Research Institute in Mongolia). The survey was conducted in seven East and Southeast Asian societies including Indonesia Japan Korea the Philippines Taiwan Thailand and Vietnam in 2015-2017 by using a standard questionnaire for social well-being developed by the Center for Social Well-being Studies Senshu University. Data collection of each country was directed by national co-investigators who participated in the International Consortium for Social Well-being Studies.
