Abstract
2009년 도입된 "연령차별금지법"의 목적은 우리사회의 연령차별문제를 해결하고, 고령화사회에서의 노동력 감소에 대비해 고령자의 고용을 촉진하기 위한 것이었다. 이러한 고령노동자 활용 방안은 이미 다른 여러 나라에서 시행되고 있으며, 이들 국가에서 고령자들의 취업인구 증가에 따른 정부의 재정 부담이 문제가 되고 있다. 이러한 배경하에 한국행정연구원에서는 우리나라 국민의 정년 연장 정책에 대한 인식을 파악하고 이의 정책적 함의를 모색하고자 이 조사를 실시하였다. 조사는 일반 국민을 대상으로 시행되었으며, 조사 내용은 연령차별에 대한 인식, 우리나라의 정년제도와 이에 따른 국민연금의 조정, 정년연장방법, 임금피크제, 공무원정년 연장에 대한 의견, 일자리나누기 등에 대한 의견을 포함하고 있다.
