Abstract
This survey was conducted by the Busan Women and Family Development Institute to determine the state of supply and demand of female workers and jobs skills in demand among the businesses in the area to find occupations suitable for women in the Busan area and for the development of job training programs. The survey was conducted among tourism and medical, shipbuilding materials and auto parts, as well as call centers and telemarketing businesses in the city of Busan. And this data was collected from businesses in the shipbuilding materials and auto parts industries.
The main contents of the survey include state of recruitment and turnover during the last three years, sate of male/female recruitment by type of employment/level of education/marital status/position/type of work, degree of workforce shortage by type of work, expected size of male and female workforce to be recruited, type of work requiring positions to be filled first, required job skills qualifications and skill level, utilization by channel of recruitment at time of hiring, intention of participating in a job fair, intention of utilizing female workforce development program, male preference at time of hiring, degree of efforts made to hire female workers, and reason for not hiring female worker, etc.
