Survey on the Use of Senior Welfare Centers in Busan Metropolitan City, 2008

This survey was conducted by the Busan Women and Family Development Institute as a part of its Busan metropolitan city gender impact assessment project to produce gender disaggregated statistics on the use of senior welfare centers. The survey was conducted among users of 10 senior welfare centers in the region with a focus on the state of use and ascertaining points for improvement.
The main contents of the survey include channel of finding welfare center, purpose of using welfare center and frequency of use, number of welfare centers used, level of satisfaction with use of welfare center, points of satisfaction and difficulties when using welfare centers, mode of transportation used when visiting welfare center, need for separate operation of gender specific programs, and points for improving welfare center. Furthermore, gender, age, education, marital status, occupational status, family members living in the same household, standard of living, and state of health were also included.
