This survey was conducted by the Korea Information Society Development Institute as a part of the "Future Policy Research on the Positive and Negative Social Functions of the Integration of Broadcasting and Communications" to examine the state of internet usage in daily life and opinions on the use of the internet.
The major topics covered by the survey include frequency and number of hours of internet usage, internet functions used, mobile phone functions used, frequency and importance of internet usage per daily activities (economic activity, educational activity, dating, recreational activity, social activity), internet usage when participating in political activities, opinions on issues related to the internet (internet real-name system/cyber defamation act/governmental restrictions of internet) , and awareness of the proper functions and adverse effects of the internet.
