Survey on the Evaluation of the Mother and Child Health Care Program in Rural Areas, 1986 : Health Workers

This survey was conducted by the Korea Institute for Population and Health (currently the Korea Institute for Health and Social Affairs (KIHASA)) to examine the management of the Mother and Child Health Care Program in rural areas implemented to provide systematic health care for pregnant women and infants. The survey was conducted simultaneously among health workers and women with childbirth experience in rural areas to assess the execution and benefits of the mother and child health care program.
This data was collected from health workers and include contents on employment history, employment period, responsibilities, state of training, state of job performance, possession of medical equipment and nutritional supplements, state of keeping evaluation records, registration of pregnant women and infants, conditions of providing mother and child health care program services, support from mother and child health care centers, contact with public health clinic and public health doctors, supervision and guidance provided by parent organization, and possible range of duties which may be performed.
