Abstract
This survey was conducted by the National Council of Trade Unions for the formulation of the minimum cost of living model of city laborers to provide the basis for wage negotiations. Prior to this survey the「Survey on the Living Conditions of Union Members for the Formulation of Cost of Living Model」(A1-1990-0014) was conducted and both data were utilized in the formation of a model for the estimation of the minimum cost of living by the National Council of Trade Unions.
This data is a survey of product prices sold at retail stores and by service providers and includes 290 products. The category of products surveyed includes costs of groceries, living costs, costs of lighting/heating/water, household goods, clothing expenses, and health and sanitation costs.
