Abstract

This survey was conducted by the Busan Women and Family Development Institute to determine the state of management and utilization of childcare facilities in Busan for the purpose of developing childcare policies for the city of Busan. The survey was conducted separately among childcare facilities, childcare professionals, and parents, and this data is on the working conditions of childcare professionals.
The main contents of the survey include major childcare issues, job satisfaction at childcare facilities, intention of job change, reasons to make a job change, monthly wage, appropriate minimum wage level, whether or not a code of conduct is established, compliance with labor standards, office hours, overtime, whether or not workers are compensated for working overtime, use of vacation days, whether or not given charge of extracurricular activities, number of teacher training workshops and their content, need for teacher training, desired training program, improvements for labor welfare, and helpfulness of childcare policies.
