Trust functions as a social resource encouraging cooperation between people as well as harmonious relationships. Especially when cooperative efforts are called for between organizations or in other relations such as business trust is an indispensable fundamental condition. Therefore, an extensive study on trust including trust in people, social trust, and public trust is important in evaluating the current state of Korean society and establishing a direction for the future.
This survey was conducted for the purpose of examining the overall level of trust within Korean society and to collect data for the microscopic/macroscopic study of trust. The questionnaire includes contents on general attitude towards society, trust of system/organization and people, attitude towards civil servants, trust of information, value system, social activity, evaluation of financial state, and subjective class consciousness.
