Abstract
The volunteer custodian system stipulates the government to entrust juvenile delinquents without custodians or with incapable custodians under preventive custody of "those able to protect the youths". The「Survey on the Volunteer Custodian's Care System」 was conducted to examine the effects and significance of the volunteer custodian system and how it is being run. The survey was conducted separately among volunteer custodians and juvenile delinquents, and this survey was collected from volunteer custodians. The questionnaire includes contents on appointing and training volunteer custodians, activities of volunteer custodians, evaluation and improvement measures for activities, and the supervision of the court and the council of volunteer custodians.
