Abstract

The Korean Institute of Criminology conducted the「Survey on Sexual Attitudes and Behavior of Koreans」among male and female subjects 16 years and older. The survey examines how the three elements, sex, love, and marriage, which constitute the relationships between men and women, are interrelated, what these relationships mean, and if the recent trend of separating love and sex is strengthened by the commercialization of sex. The questionnaire includes questions that attempt to examine Korean people’s sexual attitudes and behavior < (1) gender awareness, (2) understanding of sexual activities, (3) The relationship between sex, love, and marriage as constituents of relationships between men and women > and questions that examine the problems and effects of the socialization of sex < (1) commercialization of sex, (2) process of sexually discriminatory socialization, (3) commercialization of sex and sexual awareness >.
