Abstract
This survey was conducted to examine the state of rapid geographical and social migration taking place along with the progress of modernization and the social adjustment problems experienced by migrants. The questionnaire is composed of contents related to geographical and social mobility as well as adjustment to city life. The contents on geographical and social mobility includes experience of moving to Seoul, number of times of moving residence, period of deciding on migration, reason for migration, migration with family, family agreement on deciding on migration, and occupation prior to and after migration. The contents on adjustment to city life includes standard of living before and after migration, process of deciding on migration, number of times of moving residence after migration, problems after migration, level of satisfaction with migration, interpersonal relations at the workplace before and after migration, and nostalgia.
