Abstract
The purpose of this survey research is to identify the Korean people’s perception of nuclear power generation and to investigate the variables that affect it. Furthermore, this survey attempts to produce basic data to help find methods of enhancing people’s understanding of nuclear power generation through international comparative analysis of its results. The questionnaire contains perceptions of nuclear power generation at a positive/negative level, level of perception, knowledge of nuclear energy, judgment of the dangers of nuclear power generation and receptiveness of a nuclear power plant, and attitude towards and participation experience in nuclear power generation related citizen’s movement. In order to allow international comparisons in developing the survey the ISSP’s 1993 and 2000 「Environment」 topic module was referenced.
