- Abstract
- 충남대학교 마을연구단은 충남지역 농어촌 마을의 역사와 변천과정을 보여주는 마을지 편찬을 목적으로 마을의 지리, 역사, 경제 및 사회 상황, 일상생활과 민속 등에 관한 자료를 수집하고자 현지조사를 수행하였다. 현지조사 지역은 역사적으로 중요한 인물과 자취를 간직하거나 문화적으로 가치 있는 민속을 보유한 13개 마을로 선정하였다. 조사지역은 평야마을인 부여군 장정마을, 연기군 솔올마을, 당진군 합덕마을, 금산군 불이마을, 논산시 병사마을, 예산군 동서리와 상중리, 산간마을인 아산시 외암마을, 서산시 초록리, 계룡시 향한리, 공주시 한천리, 어촌마을인 태안군 개미목마을과 홍성군 독배마을, 섬마을인 보령시 원산도이다. 현지조사에서는 지역주민 대상의 인터뷰 자료, 관찰기록, 각종 문서와 사진 등이 수집되었다.
이 자료는 당진군 합덕마을에 관한 관찰기록물로 마을경관, 역사·문화, 민속·종교, 사회·경제 상황을 보여주는 사진들로 구성되어 있다. 마을경관 관련 사진은 마을전경, 합덕방죽, 옛 포구 모습 등, 역사·문화 관련 사진은 1940-50년대 혼례, 의식주 및 물질문화 등, 민속·종교 관련 사진은 합덕성당 전경 및 미사·침례일·바자회·운동회 등 성당 행사, 안나회·성모회 등 성당조직 활동 등, 사회·경제 관련 사진은 노인회·부녀회·연반계 등 마을조직 활동, 매괴학교 및 합덕초등학교 졸업식 사진과 서야중고등학교와 그 전신인 삼민고등공민학교에서의 학교생활 등을 각각 포함하고 있다.
