- Abstract
- 충남대학교 마을연구단은 충남지역 농어촌 마을의 역사와 변천과정을 보여주는 마을지 편찬을 목적으로 마을의 지리, 역사, 경제 및 사회 상황, 일상생활과 민속 등에 관한 자료를 수집하고자 현지조사를 수행하였다. 현지조사 지역은 역사적으로 중요한 인물과 자취를 간직하거나 문화적으로 가치 있는 민속을 보유한 13개 마을로 선정하였다. 조사지역은 평야마을인 부여군 장정마을, 연기군 솔올마을, 당진군 합덕마을, 금산군 불이마을, 논산시 병사마을, 예산군 동서리와 상중리, 산간마을인 아산시 외암마을, 서산시 초록리, 계룡시 향한리, 공주시 한천리, 어촌마을인 태안군 개미목마을과 홍성군 독배마을, 섬마을인 보령시 원산도이다. 현지조사에서는 지역주민 대상의 인터뷰 자료, 관찰기록, 각종 문서와 사진 등이 수집되었다.
이 자료는 보령시 원산도마을에 관한 인터뷰 자료이다. 인터뷰는 원산도 거주 주민을 대상으로 진행되었다. 인터뷰 내용은 마을의 역사(일제강점기 강제징용, 한국전쟁 당시 좌우 이념대립, 제방축조와 간척지 조성), 반농반어(半農半漁) 어촌의 생업(논농사와 밭농사, 어선어업, 염업, 김·바지락·가두리 양식업, 수산물 가공업, 관광어업, 어촌계의 운영), 사회조직과 기관(동계·상주계·선주계·부녀회 등 마을조직, 학교, 교회), 마을신앙(당제, 풍어제), 학교의 설립, 근대화와 생활변화(연륙교 등 교통로 개발, 전기개통, 동력선 등장, 의식주 변화 등), 보령화력발전소의 등장과 주민 대응, 구비전승 등에 관한 것이다.
