Abstract
이 조사는 우리나라 농어촌지역 노인의 인권상황을 파악하여 농어촌의 노인과 지역적 특성을 반영한 법제정비 및 인권보장 정책방안을 모색하기 위해 이화여자대학교가 국가인권위원회의 용역을 받아 수행한 것이다.
이 자료는 농촌지역에 거주하는 65세 이상 노인을 대상으로 수집한 것으로, 경제적 특성, 경제적 어려움, 경제활동 여부, 건강권, 복지권, 교육권, 정보접근권, 안전할 권리, 차별피해경험, 학대경험, 사회적 관계망, 우울감, 삶의 만족도 등을 묻는 문항을 포함하고 있다.

1. 경기도, 경상북도, 전라남도, 충청남도에서 농촌이 포함된 군을 모두 추출
2. 각 지자체별로 무작위로 2개의 군 선정, 선정된 2개의 군에서 노인인구가 가장 많은 2개의 읍면동을 선정
3. 해당 읍면동에서 무작위 추출로 표본선정
