Abstract
이 조사는 이주노동자의 한국사회 통합 정책의 방향을 제시하려는 목적 하에 이들의 이주과정과 적응실태를 살펴보고자 시행한 인터뷰 조사이다. 인터뷰는 산업연수생제도나 고용허가제로 입국한 동남아 및 조선족 출신 근로자 9명과 방문취업제로 입국한 조선족 근로자 15명을 대상으로 실시되었다.
주요 인터뷰 내용은 한국으로의 이주 동기 및 과정(본국에서의 직업, 이주동기, 한국을 선택한 이유, 이주 중개과정), 한국에서의 사회문화적 적응(직장과 근로조건, 일상생활, 사회적 관계, 단체활동, 여가생활, 소득관리), 한국에서의 차별 및 갈등 경험, 한국사회에 대한 인식, 정주화 가능성, 이주노동자 정책에 대한 의견 등이다.
