Abstract

The Busan Women and Family Development Institute conducted this survey to determine the priority and demand for women policies to be incorporated in the 「the 3rd Busan Metropolitan City Women Policy Master Plan (2010-2014) 」. The survey was conducted among the female population of the general public and women policy experts in the Busan area, and this data was collected from general female respondents.
The major survey topics included order of priority for family policy, importance of policy targets for each family type, obstacles to women’s economic participation, order of priority for women’s employment policy, priority target group for welfare policies, degree of importance per policy on health and welfare, desired lifelong education program, vitalization plan for lifelong education, desired social and cultural recreation activities, experience of discrimination, awareness level of gender equality, plans to increase women’s participation in society, prevention of sexual and domestic violence, and plans to effectively enforce policies on women, etc.
