Abstract
This survey was conducted as a part of the "Study on the Korean Scientific Community" which was conducted for 3 years from September 2005 to August 2009 to examine the formation, structure and socialization process of the scientific community. During the first year of the study, historical records and statistical data on the historical formation process of the scientific community were collected. During the second and third years of the study, research data to explore the scientific community's structural characteristics and the socialization mechanism of scientists was collected.
This date was collected during the third year from graduate and post-doctorate students majoring in physics, chemistry and biology and include information on the identity and values, degree program and research environment of future scientists.
