Abstract
This survey was conducted by the Busan Women and Family Development Institute to determine the welfare needs and state of living of children and youths in the region for the purpose of collecting preliminary data necessary for the development of policy on children and youths in the Busan metropolitan city area. The survey was conducted among elementary, middle school, and high school students and separately among their parents, and this data was collected from the parents.
The questionnaire of this survey is composed of contents on the daily life of children including contact with adult materials, main concerns, concerns regarding appearances, main leisure activity, desired leisure activity, experience of refusing to go to school and the reason for doing so, relationship with parents, and contents on the need for welfare such as the need for and awareness of various welfare agencies/facilities, and the need for and awareness of various policies regarding children and youths, and children and youth related project to be given priority, etc.
