Abstract
In preparation for the signing of the FTA with the EU, Canada, and China, the Korea Rural Economic Institute conducted a survey of experts on their opinions of the forestry industry’s level of competitiveness and the determining factors to establish measures for improving the competitiveness of the Korean forestry industry.
The major topics covered by the survey include level of competitiveness of each production factor including capital and technology and their impact on competitiveness, level of competitiveness of each government support element including budget and policies and their impact on competitiveness, competitiveness level of each demand element including market size and trade and their impact on competitiveness, competitiveness level of industry related elements including inter-industry link and integration and their impact on competitiveness, competitiveness level of business management elements including management and marketing and their impact on competitiveness.
