This survey was conducted by the Korea Rural Economic Institute to collect data for a regional case analysis to determine the conditions and ramifications of expanding the financial and living zones in rural areas. The subject regions of the case analysis are the 3 cities and guns of Anseong-si, Cheongsong-gun, and Gangjin-gun.
The main contents of the survey include residence and place of work, previous residence, period of relocation to current residence and reason for relocating, intention of relocating to another region and reason for wanting to do so, desired region of relocation, area visited for product consumption/use of amenities/cultural and leisure activities/using healthcare, change in the frequency of visits to other regions, region where children are attending school and whether they are commuting, areas of inconvenience in living environment, level of satisfaction with residence, major changes due to the mega-regionalization of residence, and major policies related to the mega-regionalization of rural cities and guns, etc.
