Abstract
The survey was conducted to for the purpose of collecting data on the social consciousness of sociology majors and their views on scholarship, and the results of the survey were utilized in the study 「The Prospects of Public Sociology in Korea」 undertaken with aims to explore the potential for development and future tasks of public sociology in Korea.
This data contains contents on individual characteristics such as the sociology major’s country of receiving doctoral degree and major, as well as perception of the role and functions of sociology, satisfaction with sociology, political orientation and political efficacy, evaluation of social democracy, assessment of government administration and government policy, confidence in social institutions, interpersonal trust, social participation, attitude toward social activities of scholars, and perception of social conflicts.
