Abstract
Public Opinion Survey on Conflict and Integration in Korean Society, 1st Wave
This survey was conducted by the KBS Broadcast Research Institute to examine the public's opinion on the level and cause of social conflicts and the measures to resolve them, to be utilized in the production of a special debate program on the topic of conflict and integration in Korean society. The survey was conducted twice consecutively and this data was collected from the first survey.
The main contents of the survey include the gravity of social conflict, cause of social conflict, obstacles to social communication, the right person for resolving social conflict, social integration policy to be enforced first, areas with serious ideological conflict, groups causing ideological conflicts, problems of liberals and conservatives, measures for resolving ideological conflicts, subjective political ideology, and the degree of favorable attitude toward liberals and conservatives.
