Abstract

This survey was conducted by the Gyeonggido Family and Women’s Research Institute to understand the conditions and demand for education, employment, and start-up assistance for immigrant women for the purpose of providing support measures for the employment of women who have immigrated through international marriages.
This data was collected from immigrant women enrolled in Korean language and vocational education institutes within Gyeonggi-do and includes contents on educational facility attended, desired educational program, family support for receiving educational training, licenses obtained, level of Korean language ability, computer literacy, employment status, current occupation, working hours, earned income, channel of seeking employment, job satisfaction, difficulties in gaining employment, reason for seeking employment, unemployed women’s intention of seeking employment and desired working conditions, intention of entrepreneurial endeavor, desired field of business, difficulties in preparing for starting up one’s own business, and satisfaction with economic level.
