Abstract

The Gyeonggi-do Family and Women’s Research Institute conducted the「Study on the Examination of Policy on Start-up Assistance for Women in Entrepreneurship and Reform Measures」to examine the current state of Gyeonggi-do’s policy on support for women in entrepreneurship and to propose measures for reform. The「Survey on the Entrepreneurial Activities of Women in Gyeonggi-do」was conducted among women who have completed courses on entrepreneurship from education and training institutes for women to collect basic data for the purpose of understanding their state of entrepreneurial activities and evaluation of education on entrepreneurship.
The main contents of the survey include, experience of establishing a start-up, experience of vocational training, motive for attending training, reason for selecting educational program, evaluation of educational content, necessary education in entrepreneurship, experience of utilizing start-up assistance program and level of satisfaction, period of preparation for start-up, motivation for starting up own business, size and source of start-up funds, difficulties in starting own business, channel of obtaining information on starting up a business, results of start-up, and preparation for starting up own business and reason for not starting up a business.
