Abstract

This survey was conducted by the Korea Institute for Population and Health (the current Korea Institute for Health and Social Affairs) to collect basic data for the「Study on the Effectiveness and Efficiency of the Family Planning Program」. This study was conducted as a part of international research project organized by the United Nations’ Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) for the purpose of comparing and evaluating the family planning policies of five Asian countries including Korea.
This study aims to analyze the fertility-lowering effectiveness of the family planning program and independent surveys were conducted among public officials and health workers in charge of the family planning program, and married women.
This data was collected from health workers in charge of the family planning program and includes contents on goal of the family planning program, monthly agenda and outcomes, level of satisfaction in working conditions, the state of family planning related education and its effects, performance evaluation, relationship with local leadership, reason for and turnover intention, and difficulties in conducting work.
