National Survey on Juveniles in Reformatories, 2008

This survey was designed as a part of the「Korean National Youth Survey」conducted by the Korea Social Research Center since 1998 to broaden the foundation for research on youths. In order to supplement the limitations of the data from the「Korean National Youth Survey」conducted among average youths, this survey collected in-depths data from juvenile delinquents.
The main contents of the survey include relationship with parents, degree of satisfaction with family life, experience of corporal punishment, self-esteem, self-efficacy, peer relations, dating, degree of satisfaction with school life, attitude towards testing, state of private education, career planning, stress management, state of interest usage, experience of deviation and attitude towards deviant behavior, sexual awareness, compulsion to run away or commit suicide, life values, gender role values, values on marriage and children, national pride, national identity, attitude towards reunification, attitude towards North Korea and surrounding countries, subjective class consciousness, religious life, attitude towards religion, experience of social participation, degree of political interest, interpersonal trust, attitude towards social discrimination, and social distance toward foreigners, etc..
