Abstract
This survey was conducted by the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Development Institute to collect basic data needed for the establishment of Daegu’s policy on women and family and aims to examine the consciousness, living conditions, and policy demand of the women in the Daegu area.
The main contents of the survey include family relations, marital satisfaction, division of household labor, obstacles in conducting financial activities, childbirth, childbirth and effects of support programs, use of childcare facilities, burden of childcare costs, criteria in selecting childcare facilities, desired social and leisure activities, obstacles to partaking in social activities, measures for expanding social participation by women, role of women’s groups, experience of sexual discrimination, measures for sexual violence and prostitution, improvement of the status of women, gender equality, issues of gender equality, women’s welfare service, and the direction of policy on women and family.
