Abstract

This survey was conducted by the Korea Information Society Development Institute (KISDI) for the purpose of establishing a marketing strategy for the implementation of an online mail registration service for the post office to collect basic data for the analysis of customer characteristics and service demands. The survey was conducted among the post offices’ postal service users and conducted separately among general payment customers and separate and subsequent payment customers, and this data was collected from separate and subsequent payment customers.
The main contents of the survey include frequency of visiting post office, use of mail, average annual shipping amount, contents of mail, main method of payment, satisfaction with window service and reasons for dissatisfaction, favorableness towards online mail registration service, pros and cons of an online mail registration service, intention of using an online mail registration service, points for consideration in deciding to use online mail registration service, resulting changes in the amount of postal workload when using online service, preferred method of payment and mail collection method, and preferred additional services and benefits.
