Abstract

This survey was conducted to collect preliminary data for the establishment of measures to expand the participation of women in economic activities in Gyeonggi-do. The survey was conducted among corporations, employees, employment seekers, and candidates for graduation, and this data was collected from female employment seekers.
The main contents of the survey include family characteristics, income, childrearing, experience of employment/opening one’s own business, reason for discontinuing employment/opening one’s own business, preparing for employment/opening own business, reason for preparing for employment/opening own business, willingness to take temporary employment, desired type of employment, reason for preferring hourly wage system, desired hours of work, considerations in seeking employment, reason for desiring to open one’s own business, desired type of business in opening own business, participation in job training, experience of career counseling, earning certificates, and satisfaction with employment programs.
