This survey was conducted to examine the effect of the mass media on youths and to investigate the elements of advertisements emphasizing the physical attractiveness of models that lead youths to develop the image of an ideal physical body.
The survey was conducted through two questionnaires given once before and once after viewing nine clips of advertisements, and the questionnaire is composed of questions on attitude towards one’s own body and the celebrity as well as questions gauging feelings and attitudes after viewing the advertisements.
