It is necessary to vitalize cooperative exchanges in broadcast to broaden the scope of understanding between North and South Korea and to restore national homogeneity. Until now the exchange has remained on the level of manpower and video materials. This survey was conducted to examine the perception of professionals in broadcasting and in academia on broadcast exchange for the establishment of measures to vitalize cooperative broadcast exchange between North and South Korea.
The questionnaire of this survey includes contents on outlook and assessment of cooperation and exchange between North and South Korea, need for cooperative broadcast exchange, assessment of North Korean broadcast programs, assessment of broadcast programs of cooperative broadcast exchange, interest areas of cooperative broadcast exchange, state of participation in cooperative broadcast exchange, outlook on the vitalization of cooperative broadcast exchange, government support for the vitalization of cooperative broadcast exchange, level of satisfaction and necessity of meetings and debate among North and south Korean broadcast professionals, expansion possibility of production funding system and points for improvement, need for broadcasting equipment subsidizing project, need for integrated dictionary of broadcasting language, need for establishing a production center within North Korea, and need for building a broadcast program database in North Korea.
