This survey was conducted by the National Human Rights Commission of Korea to collect data on the lives of the homeless and the state of human rights violations with the goal of establishing measures for the prevention of homelessness and the improvement of human rights. This data was collected from those over the age of 60 under care in homeless protection facilities, and includes contents on growing up, married life, employment history, and life in protective facilities.
The main contents of the survey include occupation of parents, main caregiver, family situation and relations while growing up, future dream while growing up, reason for separating with family, experience of marriage/cohabitation and duration, whether or not one has children, reason for ending marriage/cohabitation, duration of separation, residential history prior to entering protective facility, past occupation and period of engagement in each job, history of ent
