Abstract
This survey was conducted by SBS (Seoul Broadcasting System) ahead of the 2012 presidential as well as general elections to forecast the outlook of the general elections as well as the approval ratings of the leading presidential candidates.
The main contents of the survey include approval ratings of the presidential candidates, approval ratings for a hypothetical competition between the candidates (Park Geun-Hye/ Ahn Cheol-Soo, Park Geun-Hye/ Moon Jae-In, Park Geun-Hye/ Son Hak-Gyu), prospects for director Ahn Cheol-Soo's candidacy and assessment of his course of action, intention of supporting the incumbent member of the National Assembly of local constituency, approval ratings for the parties of presidential candidates, approval ratings of presidential candidates from the ruling and opposition parties, outlook for the majority party in the presidential election, major issues of the presidential elections, assessment of welfare pledges, and evaluation of the Saenuri Party and Democratic United Party. In addition, the questionnaire includes questions on political indicators such as approval ratings of the president's state administration, and party approval ratings, etc.
