Abstract
The JoongAng Ilbo (daily newspaper) is conducting the「6.2 Regional Elections Public Opinion Survey」to examine the pattern of change in the support of candidates for major regional government leadership positions prior to the「5th Nationwide Regional Elections」to be held on June 2nd 2010.
This data was collected in the second survey of Seoul’s mayoral candidates following the acquittal of former Prime Minister Han Myung-Sook in the first trial and includes contents on approval ratings of potential candidates in simulated competition, approval rating of GNP primary candidates, approval ratings of primary candidates of the Democratic party, intention to vote, party identification, assessment of President’s government administration, and the candidate voted for in the 2006 election.
The data should be analyzed using the weight variable based on the number of voters by sex, age, and area.
