https://doi.org/10.22687/KOSSDA-A1-2005-0071-V1.0
Gallup Korea is conducting a monthly omnibus survey based on the same research design. An omnibus survey incorporates multiple topics commissioned by various institutions and corporations into one survey. Thus, an omnibus survey can collect data more efficiently in terms of cost and time required compared to ad-hoc survey dealing with single topics. The Gallup Korea omnibus survey collects around 1500 samples for each survey conducted in a face to face interview method and covers various social and economic topics including marketing index, political index, public attitudes, economic situation awareness, and state of media utilization.
This data collected in October of 2005 is composed of contents on the economic outlook for 2006, reading, and attitude towards advertisement. Contents on the economic outlook for 2006 are household and national economy, the unemployed, employment security, employment opportunity, labor disputes, international disputes, and feasibility of resolving international issues. Contents on reading are number of books purchased per month, amount of reading per month, genre of subscribed reading, channel of collecting information on books, and preferred authors, and contents on attitude towards advertisement are the function and effect of advertisement, and ethical issues of advertisement.
