Public Opinion Survey on the 2002 Local Elections in Gwangju, 2001

This survey was conducted prior to the 2002 local elections to examine the public opinion in the Gwangju area. The survey conducted among the citizens of Gwaunju collected opinions on the mayoral elections in general and the major issues of the Honam area. The questionnaire includes contents on evaluation of the Kim Dae-Jung government, opinion on the move of the provincial government building to Muan-gun, opinion on the integration of Gwangju and Jeollanam-do, mayoral candidate citizens are aware of, opinion on selection of candidates through delegates, opinion on party nomination system, and opinion on the anti-campaigns by civic groups.
