In Korea, government reform has been conducted mainly in respect to organizational structure and thus organizational culture still remains a target for reform. This survey was conducted to collect data to reform the government’s authoritarian organizational culture and increase organizational productivity. The data was collected from employees of the Korean central government and the US state government to compare between Korean and US administrative cultures.
The questionnaire of this survey includes questions on relationship with supervisor, decision making method, information sharing, performance management system, organizational flexibility, degree of delegation of authority, whether an information sharing system has been set up, coworker relations, job commitment, job autonomy, degree of reflecting customer needs, job related education and the creation of an educational atmosphere.
