Abstract

This survey was conducted by the Busan Women and Family Development Institute to determine the state of management and utilization of childcare facilities in Busan for the purpose of developing childcare policies for the city of Busan. The survey was conducted separately among childcare facility, childcare professionals, and parents, and this data is on the state of childcare facilities and their operation.
The main contents of the survey include difficulties in managing facilities, improvements in management, financial and administrative support needed, difficulties in enrolling children, state of school bus operation, number of enrolled children, state of children cared for 24 hours, monthly childcare fee, state of teachers and staff, whether or not a code of conduct is in established, compliance with labor standards, standards for wage payments, whether workers are compensated for working overtime, whether health checkups are conducted, state of nutrition management and child health checkups, occurrence of accidents, safety management, extracurricular activities, improvement of childcare standards, helpfulness of childcare policies, and improvements for childcare policies.
